then got back on the Streetcar and rode
to the The Farmhouse restaurant in the River Market

At L'Ecole Culinaire on the Country Club Plaza



we learned how to
pull fresh mozzarella cheese
    


then had a lovely luncheon prepared and served by the students

American Art collection
at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.

in the museum's
Rozelle Courtyard

As a part of Women's History Month
and the Kansas Public Library's
Missouri Valley Special Collections
Speaker Series
we presented a program on the
Kansas City Athenaeum's
history and contributions to Kansas City.



In March the MVSC staff completed cataloging the archival material donated by the Club in 2012.
Members spent hours going through the 100+ years of scrapbooks, meeting minutes, etc. to prepare this talk and PowerPoint presentation.

Instead of our traditional Annual Breakfast,
a 1:00 p.m. Tea was held on the mezzanine
of the Central Library.
       

April 12, 2017
We toured the 1855 Harris-Kearney House in Westport




& went on a guided walking history tour
of Old Westport.

Ragazza Neighborhood Italian Restaurant
on Westport Road





May 24, 2017

To celebrate our 123rd Birthday, we met in the Garden House in Loose Park, home of the
Laura Conyer Smith Municipal Rose Garden.

It was a jovial, rosy event




Recognitions and Appreciations were espressed
